Meet the Team

Flexicomms is a bespoke family run business with offices located on Great Northern Terrace in Lincoln.

Mike heads up the Technical team and has many years experience within the telecoms industry helping clients maintain 24 hour telecoms business continuity.

The technical team at Flexicomms work under the guidance of Mike who continues to develop their skills and understanding.  The team look after lots of clients in the East Midlands and across the UK.

Mike - Managing Director

Mike is the Technical Director at Flexicomms and is responsible for running the projects for the business.  With many years’ experience Mike has developed a business concentrating on bespoke communications for clients.  He also plans and delivers a wide range of data cabling installations from small home office requirements to very large complex and detailed cabling often in complex settings or at difficult sites.

He understands a client’s need for a flexible consultancy approach and has built up partnerships for the business with IT organisations and is very well respected in his approach to partnering projects with and for associated parties.

Mike allocates and manages the flow of work for his team and ensures projects are delivered on budget and to time whether it’s just a small cabling installation or a large installation.  Projects are delivered in the East Midlands and across the UK and Mike is keen to grow the business with more partners. 

Mike’s understanding and reputation for delivery is well recognised and appreciated with repeat business being secured.  

Hobbies and Interests

In Mike’s spare time he like to ride his motorbike, spend time on his allotment, and spend time with family and friends.

Glyn - Senior Engineer

Glyn started working for Flexicomms in 2016 after working for many years in the construction industry. He oversees engineers, delegating jobs and managing workload.

Qualifications

  • Level 1-3 bricklaying. 
  • Level 4 building and civil engineering. 
  • Level 3 structured engineer. 
  • PASMA. IPAF.
  • Ipecs System installation and maintenance. 
  • Manual handling, Asbestos awareness, Working from heights. 
  • Workplace first aid. 
  • MiGuest station R1.0 technical.
  • Category 5E & 6 structured cabling products and systems.  
  • Panasonic, LG and siemens telephone systems installer. 
  • Approved installer of Hellermann Tyton, Excel, Ultima and Draca. 
  • C-PAT installer copper and fibre installer.
  • CSCS Card.
  • Enhanced DBS.

Hobbies and Interests

Football. Moto GP. Formula one. Coin collecting. Spending time with family.

James - Data Engineer

Previously worked as a chef and a carpet fitter before gaining the opportunity to work at Flexicomms as a trainee. Roles include Installing, inspecting and testing cabling systems infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • Approved installer of Excel, Ultima and Draca. 
  • CSCS Card. 
  • Enhanced DBS.
  • PASMA. IPAF.
  • Cat 6 and 6A and fibre installer.
  • Currently studying NVQ level 3 structured engineer. 
  • Manual handling, Asbestos awareness, Working from heights. 
  • Workplace first aid.

Hobbies and Interests

  • Motorbikes- both riding and fixing them up. 
  • His pet bearded dragon.

Laura - Finance Administrator

Laura has worked in administration since 2014, originally working in the offices for a care company. Laura started working for Flexicomms in April 2020 to take over some of the work load due to an expanding client base and work load. Her role includes Administration, Finance, Marketing and overseeing Health and Safety.

Qualifications

  • Approved installer of Excel, Ultima and Draca.
  • NVQ Level 2 Business Administration.
  • NCFE in Health, safety and employment standards. 
  • Fire safety marshal training.
  • Safeguarding and confidentiality.
